Hire Excavators Brisbane – Specialised Attachments for Every Job
So you’ve got an excavator but you need it to do something specific? Thats where our specialised attachments come in. We’ve got a pretty solid range of attachments available for hire in Brisbane and honestly having the right attachment can make or break a job. Alot of people dont realise just how versatile an excavator becomes when you swap out the bucket for something more specialised. Rock breaker, auger, ripper, grab… suddenly that same machine can do ten different jobs. Its like a swiss army knife on tracks. Whether you need to hire excavators with an operator or just the attachment on its own, we can sort you out. We’ve got attachments to suit machines from 1.7 tonne right through to 30 tonne so whatever size excavator your running we’ve probably got something that fits.Digger for Hire Brisbane – Our Attachment Range
Rock Breakers
Rock breakers are probably our most popular attachment hire. Brisbane’s got alot of rock lurking under the surface and when you hit it, a standard bucket isnt going to cut it. Literally. Our rock breakers range from small units for mini excavators through to big hammers for the 30 tonne machines. The right size depends on the rock hardness and the volume you need to get through. Our guys can help you figure out what you need if your not sure. We use quality brands that are well maintained because theres nothing more frustrating than a rock breaker that keeps breaking down. Pun intended. When your paying by the hour you want that thing hitting rock, not sitting there waiting for repairs.Augers and Drill Attachments
Need holes drilled? We’ve got augers for pier holes, fence post holes, tree planting… pretty much any application where you need a round hole in the ground. Sizes range from about 200mm diameter right up to 900mm for larger pier holes. Augers save an insane amount of time compared to hand digging. A pier hole that might take someone half an hour with a shovel takes about 2 minutes with an auger attachment. When you’ve got 50 pier holes to drill on a deck job the time savings really add up.Rippers
Rippers are great for breaking up hard ground, clay, soft rock and compacted fill. They basically work like a giant tooth that tears through material that a normal bucket struggles with. We use them alot on sites where the ground is too hard for a bucket but not quite hard enough to justify a rock breaker.Grabs and Clamshell Buckets
Grabs are super useful for picking up loose material, rocks, logs, demolition waste… basically anything you need to grab and move. They work differently to a standard bucket because they can close around material and grip it. Really handy for loading trucks with loose rock or clearing vegetation. We’ve got mechanical grabs and hydraulic grabs depending on what the job needs. Hydraulic grabs give you more control but mechanical grabs are simpler and work on pretty much any machine.Tilting Hitches
A tilting hitch lets you angle your bucket or attachment to work on slopes and batters without repositioning the machine. Its one of those things that once youve used one you wonder how you ever worked without it. Especially on drainage work where you need to cut channels at an angle. They also make your operator more efficient because they spend less time repositioning the machine and more time actually working. Over the course of a day that adds up to alot of extra productivity.Compaction Plates
Compaction plates attach to the excavator and let you compact soil and fill material in trenches, around pipes, behind retaining walls… anywhere that a roller cant reach. They’re essential for services work and drainage installation. We’ve had alot of builders discover compaction plates and wonder why they were hand compacting before. An excavator mounted plate compactor is way more effective than a hand held plate and its alot less back breaking for whoever has to operate it.Hire With or Without Operator
You can hire our specialised attachments either way. If you’ve got your own excavator and operator and just need the attachment, thats fine – we’ll deliver it to site and pick it up when your done. This is basically dry hire for attachments. Or if you need the whole package – excavator, operator and specialised attachment – we can do that too through our wet hire service. Most people go this route because our operators are experienced with all the attachments and they know how to get the best out of them.Common Applications for Specialised Attachments
Our attachments get used for all sorts of jobs around Brisbane. Some of the most common ones include:- Rock breaking for house sites, pools and trenches
